This isn't getting enough love on eBay or Mandolin Cafe, so $350 shipped for SGF members. I'll put this in a lightweight hard foam F- mandolin case. Kentucky KM-250 ARCH-TOP MANDOLIN, Sunburst, A-Style, F-Hole. This is all my own best investigation, but,do your own research. Kentucky KM-855 BLUEGRASS MANDOLIN, Scroll body, F holes, solid carved top. We rescued the mandolin from the realm of 'unplayability' and brought it back to life. KM-630s list for $850 at Guitar Center/ sells for $649.95. KM1500 Kentucky Mandolin was setup very poorly by someone. In other words, it looks like a mid-line rather than ultra-high end instrument. Compare 30 million ads Find Kentucky Mandolin. Tuners have a stamped "engraving" pattern-ditto the Kentucky tailpiece cover. Find Kentucky Mandolin for sale on Craigslist, eBay, Kijiji, Amazon and others. (Note closeup pic of bottom of f-hole-looks like continuous grain lines to me.) Sounds very nice, just restrung with. Kentucky KM-140 A Style MANDOLIN, Sunburst, solid spruce top. Spruce top-apparently solid and I think the maple back and sides-not flamed-are solid also. Kentucky KM-606 F-Style Bluegrass Mandoline, Solid Geschnitzt Fichte Oberteil. Apparently some KM-630s come with gold hardware, but this is chrome?/nickel?. Some more learned members at Mandolin Cafe are fairly well convinced that this is a KM-630-and fairly recent, so I'll go with their assessment. Quick sale wanted, reasonable offers considered. Usually a gold foil/paper label visible through the bass f-hole. Includes padded gig back, tutor book, 2 plectrums and spare set of new strings. Unlike the many other Kentucky mandolins I saw while working for over a decade in MI retail, this has no serial/model number label. One review I read implied that it was as step up from the KM-150. The model is discontinued, I cant seem to find the original sale price, and most of the reviews say that it is a good beginner mandolin 'for the price' I hope you can see the dilemma.
